TRANSFORMATION FINAL:
Look, mixed media, 10"x9.2"x8.5", 2017
The act of deconstruction and reconstruction acts as release from the classical modes of creating work. The act of taking the non-valuable and making it into a relic by placing it above all in an untouchable, pedestal, not meant to be viewed. The juxtaposition of the idea of art being special, not to be touched, and on a
pedestal; and the tactile brash valueless nature of garbage. Art as coming from nothing, yet simultaneously being greater than those viewing it.
